If your Monday is turning out to be “one of those days”, add a little kick to your morning or evening coffee with a splash of Irish whiskey and see if it doesn’t turn your day around for the better.
- Fresh brewed coffee
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 35mL Irish whiskey
- 2.5 ounces heavy cream
Fill a stemmed glass with hot water and let it sit to preheat the mug. After a few minutes, dump the water.
Add the sugar and whiskey to the mug. Fill the mug within 1 inch of the rim with hot coffee. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
In a small bowl, whip the heavy cream until it is slightly thick and foamy. Top the coffee with a head of cream by pouring it slowly over the back of the spoon. Serve hot.
